Paprika Pork with Tagliatelle

Something different to do with Pork Chops

Paprika Pork with Tagliatelle

Pork chops do make an appearance in this house from time to time.  They have also made an appearance in this blog from time to time.

I don't mind them, I look at them as a nice change from Chicken so I do have to wonder why we don't have them more often.

As I have done on a number of occasions recently, lack of time to indulge in my favourite pastime of reading cookery books whilst sitting on the sofa with a large mug of tea, I have resorted to putting various ingredients in to the BBC Good Food website and quickly scanning through what comes up.

There are a number of problems with this approach:-

1. We can end up with a whole week of 'unknowns'

2. Most recipes (actually this is not just this website, but all recipes) don't cater for Women who have Husbands and/or Children who don't like mushrooms.  I may start an alternative site for Frugal Food Recipies which don't include mushrooms.

So Instantly, and without having even tried the original recipe I had rewritten it to add 1/2 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper and replaced the mushrooms with Peppers, and thinking chargrilling them first would add to the overall smokiness of the dish, just ploughed on with it.

The finished dish was a delight, and I was rewarded with cleared bowls.  I will make this again and here I am giving you the link to the recipe on the  BBC Good Food site.  I used Peppers instead of Mushrooms, Marigold Bouillon instead of stock, and Pork Medallions cut into strips.  Additionally, I added Cayenne Pepper whilst adding the Paprika and also added two crushed and sliced garlic cloves with the onions.

Try it, most definitely worth it and on the table in around 20 minutes
